Who is to blame for the looming famine?

What should be blamed for the current supply/hunger crisis? 

- Covid policies and neuroticism

- Globalization (aka neo-colonialism)

- NATO expansion (part of that globalization/neo-colonialism)

- Russian retaliation

- Reductionist approaches to problems including climate change

- Corporate profit-driven agricultural systems

- Oligarchical rule 

- The centralization of power!

Our rulers imposed globalization, and now repeatedly disrupt the extremely fragile, globalized economy created by it, in their demented quest for profit and total control over everything - which is what globalization was always about!! The system is devouring itself?

Russia pushing back against globalism?

Here's an interview with conservative Russian philosopher, Aleksandr Dugin, who according to western media is 'Putin’s brain'. He says that Putin's invasion of Ukraine is Russia pushing back against ‘globalism’ (as led by Klaus Schwab, Soros etc). 

They want a multi-polar world, with different cultures and civilizations respected, unlike the west that seeks one 'liberal' world order, ultimately leading to global governance/technocracy. 

(Obviously that liberalism is mostly just a guise for expanding the power/profits of western corporations/banks/oligarchs).

But what if I’m less vulnerable to severe infection than the average person, because I’m young, have naturally-acquired immunity, and/or put lots of effort into health and well-being?

Why are western nations arming forces that include a large number of literal/neo Nazis, fueling war and bloodshed, risking nuclear Armageddon, and wrecking the fragile global economy (again) on which billions of us depend, all to try and prevent democratic self-determination for some people in eastern Europe, and force them to live under a neoliberal, Nazi-sympathising government that’s been bombing them for 8 years, (since a US-backed rebellion overthrew the previous, corrupt-but-democratically-elected government, and a separatist movement was ignited)?

Why is much of the general public supporting the expansion of an obscenely violent, aggressive, ecocidal military alliance - NATO -  that is an instrument of US power? 

Where are the calls for peace?? Personally, I’d rather support self-determination than arm Nazis and fuel a bloody war that could go on for years/decades. (Apparently that makes me an extremist Putin lover!!?).

It’s all quite insane/evil, but I guess that’s always been the nature of US Empire. 

Just as was the case with Covid, a root cause approach to the crisis in Ukraine is denigrated, because it threatens the powerful interests that run this mad empire and rely on it's continuation! 

15 million excess deaths - mostly in countries with highest vaccination rates and more restrictions.

Low income countries, with low vaccination and few restrictions, account for 4% of the 15 million excess deaths. Most excess deaths were in countries with more restrictions and high vaccination... make of that what you will.

Arms dealers are happy though!

Crimeans and many other folks in eastern Ukraine want to be independent/part of Russia!! (More so since Nazi-sympathisers came to power in a US-backed coup in 2014). Let them go!!!! The alternative is indefinite war and bloodshed, and potential nuclear war.

If Ukraine was Mexico

If Mexico became a militarised, corrupt, client state of China (following a violent China-backed coup); If they were welcoming fascists into their government and army, persecuting an ethnic minority, waging war on separatists, seeking to acquire nuclear weapons, and seeking membership of an aggressive China-led military alliance, would we support them in any of this?

No!!

But would we also oppose an inevitable US invasion?

Yes!

Would we call for diplomacy/a peaceful solution, and an end to all militarism/imperialism/persecution/fascism?

Yes!
