Covid: what are we doing?!

I don’t understand what we’re doing. Covid is not going to be eliminated. It's extremely arrogant of us to think we can defeat nature. Flu shots haven’t eradicated flu. Also, a rushed vaccine will be rejected by most, and at best might only be 50% effective and temporary anyway.‬ (And will be mostly ineffective on those who're unhealthy).

‪Meanwhile, lockdowns cause all kinds of hell - 500 million people pushed into poverty, 71 million into extreme poverty, 10,000 more kids dying every month according to the UN, increase in domestic violence, increase in depression and suicides, increase in other illnesses as people fear going to hospital, destruction of small businesses and further enrichment of the 0.1%, etc etc.

And I’m unconvinced masks do much, other than:

- disrupting vital human interaction with the world, (and thus damaging the microbiome/immune system)

- putting toxins from the mask material into the body

- littering the ocean. ‬

If masks are so effective, how come Sweden is doing fine without them?

Covid is a threat to (predominantly older) people who have underlying conditions thnks to a poisonous food system. I think the best strategy going forward is to enable all those at risk to isolate/take early retirement, and to see a nutritionist, leaving the rest of us to continue life as normal; though many lessons must be learnt from all this - mainly that we must localize and revolutionize the food system with organic/regenerative agriculture.

A root cause approach is essential if there’s to be any hope for our species.
