Journalist arrested in the US - silence from MSM

A journalist was arrested in the US the other day and nobody gives a shit. Just like few people give a shit about Assange.

How funny that it is only a big news story when it is governments that are desperately resisting imperialism that crack down on journalism. (And often this 'journalism' is complete US State Department propaganda - the US has a long history of co-opting media outlets in target nations).

What a matrix we live in!

US kills ISIS leader who was being protected by previously US-backed rebels

ISIS leader, Al Baghdadi, who the US has just been boasting about assasinating, was being protected by one of the anti-Assad ‘rebel’ groups in Syria.

For the last 8 years, the US has sent literally $billions of support to these jihadist ‘rebel’ groups, in their proxy war against Assad, (insisting that they were ‘moderate’).

The most evil crime that I can think of has been committed in Syria these last few years, resulting in hundreds of thousands of deaths, and, thanks to immense propaganda in the western press, hardly anyone is aware of it.

And it isn’t even anything new. The west did the same thing in Afghanistan in the 1980s, which led directly to the emergence of al Qaeda and Osama Bin Laden.

What will it take to end this monstrous cycle of violence that is all about  stealing resources and making profit for western corporations?

General Election - once in a lifetime opportunity - JC4PM!

This is an extremely rare opportunity to have a Prime Minister of the United Kingdom who understands how rigged, anti-democratic and destructive the globalized, neoliberal system has been and continues to be, and who wants to radically challenge it and all its symptoms.

He is someone who opposes predatory, environmentally destructive and unethical free trade agreements and values localism; someone who has a fantastic record of opposing all the wars, the extreme inequality, the poverty, brought on by decades of neoliberal imposition that has siphoned power and wealth to a handful of billionaires and corporations. His record is one of sticking up for humanity and the planet, rather than those transnational corporations that profit off all the destruction and exploitation, leaving us with dying ecosystems, billions of people undernourished, exploited and in debt, and decaying/underfunded infrastructure and public services.

This is a man who understands the history of western imperialism, which, following the demise of the British Empire, continued under American leadership, and which has wrought havoc and death in the world for centuries, in pursuit of profit for an elite few. The advent of neoliberalism in the 1970/80s, under Thatcher and Reagan, was a guise for continuing this imperial onslaught - the idea being to force foreign countries to privatize their industries and resources, so that they could effectively be stolen by western corporations.

He is someone who wants us all to live in the real world; not in the mainstream-media matrix, where we continue ignoring what has been done, and is still being done by those who rule over us to advance their interests; where we continue believing that this system is about advancing 'freedom and human rights' - it is not!

The neofascism that is on the rise throughout the western world right now, is the west reaping what it has sown around the world, with all the imperial interventions; installing and supporting fascists from Chile to Saudi Arabia in order to enforce capitalism and continuously enrich those at the top. To have any chance of defeating this emergent far-right back in the heart of the empire, it is essential that we elect a government that understands this reality; that understands what is at the root of the problem - neoliberalism and imperialism.

This is a chance to make the UK a country that stands up for peace, justice, and international law on the world stage - rather than continue being an imperialist puppet state that assists the US in violently dominating and exploiting poor, developing countries, via environmentally catastrophic regime change wars, covert interventions, sanctions, and IMF/debt enslavement; rather than continue being a country that engages in the bombing and displacement of millions of people for oil; that continues to push us towards a potentially world-ending confrontation with Russia and China; and that persecutes the brave journalists, like Julian Assange, who expose some of this.

He is an internationalist - not an imperialist.

Politicians of Corbyn's ilk very rarely come this close to power in the western world, so it is vital that we do all that we can to get him elected as PM, for our sake and for the sake of all the victims of neoliberalism/imperialism around the world. It will require a huge amount of grassroots activism, both to achieve a victory in the election, and to enable the project to succeed once in government. We are up against the immense force of the powers that be, and the mass media that they own, which more than ever, will be denigrating the left, and manipulating people into voting against their interests. We are also up against much of the PLP - most Labour MPs may be socially democratic domestically, but are definitely not opposed to imperialism. Whatever happens in the upcoming election, we will have to continue fighting for a truly leftist, anti-imperialist Labour Party, removing all the Blairites, for the project to succeed.

This is a chance for the UK to really take on this system, and the powerful few who prop it up, and lead the way in the western world in fighting for change; in fighting for a world in which we share resources and riches.

Taking on the elites, Labour would increase taxes as necessary, redistribute power in corporations so that profits are shared fairly, encourage the creation of worker cooperatives, and push for a global movement to crack down on tax havens, so that the corporations and billionaires cannot steal wealth created by their workers and keep it offshore. Allied with a Bernie Sanders presidency in the US, this will be doable.

It’s a chance to use that wealth to eradicate homelessness and poverty; to protect and improve public services and infrastructure, across the entire country - not just city centers; to abolish tuition fees; to give resources (and autonomy) to local areas; to plant millions of trees, invest in green technology and enable more eco-entrepreneurship, etc.

It’s a chance to decarbonise the economy by 2030 and seriously confront for-profit, environmental vandalism.

We have one planet. We are one humankind. It is in all our interests to ensure that everyone can lead dignified, fulfilled lives, so that we can have a harmonious and civilized society. And obviously it is in all our interests, and the interests of future generations, that the planet be protected. This future is not possible under neoliberal capitalism; a system that upends democracy, instead handing power over to largely unaccountable corporations that operate across borders, with little democratic oversight, in search of profit that does not 'trickle down'.

We are living in a unique kind of totalitarianism where the masses are so distracted, by endless consumption, celebrity 'culture', etc; so manipulated by propaganda; so overworked and underpaid; that they don't even notice that our ruling elites are suppressing dissenteven imprisoning journalists, in order to continue this rotten system from which they profit. We need to wake up and resist, before we slide further into fascism.

It is time for us to begin completely abolishing neoliberalism, an ideology that has benefited a few off the backs of the many, and at the expense of nature, our souls, and millions of lost lives, and to instead work together to ensure a peaceful, sustainable, fair and civilised future for us and future generations - we really have no choice but to try. Let’s make the UK great, for the first time in our history! And let's inspire the rest of the neoliberal western world to follow suit!

VOTE LABOUR! It is our best hope.

Thoughts About The Upcoming General Election

If you feel like you want to support Labour, but are put off by the leader, you may have been manipulated by years of relentless anti-Jeremy Corbyn propaganda...

Truth is he is the most decent, honest, human politician to have come this close to becoming PM in a very, very long time (maybe ever?).

The man has two international peace prizes!

And check his voting record. Check his anti-war/anti-racism activism.

Ignore the almost entirely billionaire-owned, right-wing mass media, which hates him for obvious reasons!

...............

If you're a Conservative who supports localism - voting for the neoliberal globalist Tories makes little sense. It's Labour that wants to give power and money back to local areas. The Tories, meanwhile, support unethical free trade agreements that screw over local businesses, and have just spent 10 years making unecessary cuts to local communities, because they didn't want to make their elite buddies pay for the crash that they created.

................

Labour is offering a second referendum, which will be Remain vs a Brexit deal that will protect jobs/rights.

But if you’d like to save the environment, protect and improve public services, and address the issues that led many to vote Brexit (inequality etc), it is absolutely vital that we DO NOT make this election about Brexit!

................

Vote Tory so you can work in a badly paid job until you’re 75, with no NHS, earning just enough (if you’re lucky) to put poor-quality, unhealthy food on the table and buy crap, unethical consumer products, whilst the planet burns to death via ecocide and war, and the rich get richer off it all.

(Alternatively, vote Labour, to take on the 1%, redistribute power and wealth, and ensure a peaceful, sustainable, fair and humane future for all).

................

Jo Swinson effectively says here - ‘We’ve taken in right-wing MPs from the Conservative Party, and Blairite warmongers from the Labour Party, who support fracking, want to privatise our water, etc’.

Imagine being proud of this!

................

Way I see it, these are the options this election:

1. The hard-right (Tories)
2. Those who fuel the hard-right via neoliberal policies (Lib Dems)
3. Radical social democrats (Labour)

Option 3 is the only choice to create a peaceful, sustainable, more equal future, and thus defeat the hard-right.

................

Whilst Labour campaign for a Green Industrial Revolution, a fracking lobbyist is writing the Tory manifesto. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Do Tory voters have a death wish?

................

Voting Tory isn't selfish, it's just bloody stupid. It is in all our interests to protect the planet, and to ensure that all it's inhabitants can live dignified, fulfilled lives - and this means sharing.

................

Beware of this tactical voting site, run by a former Liberal Democrat PPC, that is advising people to vote Lib Dem in constituencies where Labour were much closer to beating the Tory MP in the 2017 election, in order to stop Brexit.

Labour are pledging to hold a second referendum. AND they're the only party that can be reasonably trusted to address the problems (inequality/media ownership, etc) that led many to vote for Brexit.

Ugh, bloody Lib Dems!

Making this election about Brexit is not helpful. It needs to be about taking on powerful interests that have been screwing over people’s lives for decades. That is the only way to attract disillusioned voters away from the far-right. (And it needs to be about climate change). We need a radical Labour government for this.

................

Boris Johnson was booed by NHS staff at a hospital in Cambridge today. Barely a peep from the media about this. What a surprise.

................

I want a government that will stop bombing and sanctioning kids in foreign countries for oil and profit. Don't you?

Please #VoteLabour and make the UK a country that stands up for peace on the world stage. Let's stop backing US imperialism, and resist it instead!

................

This election needs to be about poverty, climate change and peace; about taking on the establishment and redistributing their power. We need to make people realise that Corbyn is the actual anti-establishment candidate. Not the Eton twat!

................

In my experience, most disillusioned voters do not give a crap about climate change. If anything, they’re deniers. Labour needs to target these people with the anti-establishment/elite/inequality message.

Liberals meanwhile, tend to dislike the 'anti-establishment' message (they see it as a far-right thing, I think). So they need to be targeted with the climate change message (Green New Deal)! We need to let Lib Dems know that Jo Swinon's record on this is not good.

.................

Green Party supporters outside of Brighton - if Labour supporters like me in Brighton promise to vote for Caroline Lucas, will you all please vote Labour? (Unless there's anywhere else that the Greens stand a realistic chance...?).

We need to be sensible here!

..................

There’s so much hopeful stuff happening at the moment, from movements towards localism rather than globalism, to recognition of the environmental crisis.

This is all great stuff.

But imagine how helpful it would be if we had a government that was on our side in this? Instead of having a government that is on the side of the ecocidal, transnational corporations that we’re trying to resist?

It is so sad, that over recent decades, we have been so convinced by the notion that the state must only have a limited role. And it is even more sad, given that it is a great big lie - the state has a huge role! But their role has tended to be on the side of the elites, rather than on the side of common people, and the planet. Socialism for the 1%.

We need a radical, leftist government to direct and regulate the system so that it supports us in this movement away from neoliberal globalization.

VOTE LABOUR.

...................

One third of global billionaire wealth comes from inheritance, whilst another third comes from crony connections to government and monopoly.

Pretty messed up, right? Vote Labour.
...................

We've got a once in a lifetime opportunity, both in the UK (Jeremy Corbyn), and the US (Bernie Sanders), to really take on the powerful interests that have been screwing the majority of people, (and the planet), these last few decades.

How often do we all complain about politicians being a bunch of self-serving assholes?

But now that a couple have come along who actually aren't self serving assholes, and instead have a long track record of standing up for humanity and the planet, over corporate interests, it seems people aren't interested. How incredibly fucking sad!

Wake up. Fight. Vote for BIG change

....................

We live in a very unique kind of totalitarianism, where the majority of people are so distracted by consumerism and celebrities; so overworked and underpaid; so manipulated by propaganda; that they don't even notice that our governments and ruling elites are suppressing dissent; even imprisoning journalists; not to mention, supporting literal fascism abroad. All so that the 1% can continue ruling, exploiting and profiting. Vote for change.

....................

How can anyone read this and still vote Tory?

....................

“What we have seen from the UK government is outright contempt for Mr Assange's rights and integrity”.

Anyone else want a government that doesn’t torture people for exposing war crimes? Vote Labour! Free Assange!

...................

Big cock-up by the BBC 'fact checkers'. No wonder many see the BBC as Tory propaganda!

...................

The Lib Dems have stood aside... for warmongering, climate-vandalist, poor person-killing,  ('ex') Tory, Anna Soubry.

..................

Vote Labour for the Palestinian people! What is being done to them, with backing from the west, is truly shocking. Under a Corbyn government, the UK will recognise the Palestinian state and stand in solidarity with them in their fight for freedom.

...................

Shall we go for the guy who has journalists beaten up, or the guy who wants peace and equality? Hmm, hard choice.

...................

Jo Swinson thinks we should have statues for people like Margaret Thatcher, who admired fascists (Pinochet), and who handed over our country to transnational corporations, leading to all the problems we now have.

...................

Lib Dem-style ‘centrism’, with its austerity, ecocide and war, got us into the mess we’re in, in terms of the rise of the far-right, the climate crisis, etc. Centrists need to realise this and come to the left!

..................

Let's face it, many Lib Dem voters dislike Corbyn's Labour because they're wealthy and don't want to pay more tax. That they try and smear him as antisemitic etc (and his supporters as 'cultists') rather than just be honest and say that they're protecting their class interests, is really disgusting.

..................

I can see myself getting quite depressed by the lack of interest from my friends for this rare opportunity to have a PM who actually wants the UK to be a country of peace and justice. We all want to stop bombing people for oil; we all want to eradicate poverty... don’t we?

...................

To secure a sustainable and harmonious future for all, we must resist and take on the predatory capitalists. We need a socialist government for this. Tories worse, obviously, but Lib Dem ‘centrism’ is also disastrous for humanity and the planet. No middle ground between corporate interests and the interests of people and planet!

..................

We've got this one chance to have a PM of the UK who understands what western imperialism/the current economic system has done and is doing to the planet and all life on it, and who wants the UK to be a country that plays a major role in leaving that system behind and fighting for a peaceful, sustainable, fair future for all.
.................

Remember that the global tyrants of the US are most likely actively trying to prevent a Corbyn government right now.

Important that we all support Labour, and stand up to these power-mad, imperialist assholes!

..................

Nothing remotely surprising about this comment. It’s Tory mentality. They think poor people, who've effectively been robbed by a wealthy few, are worthless scroungers.

The opposite is true - the super wealthy few, who buy up all the land, the resources, the businesses, the housing, exploit workers and tenants, corrupt the government, and avoid tax, are the actual scroungers!

Please god let’s get rid of this government.

...................

Jo Swinson thinks Jeremy Corbyn, a lifelong peace activist who has been right about all the west’s horrific wars, would be a ‘threat to our national security’, because he wouldn’t ‘write commands to our submarine fleet’, strongly implying that her reasoning for this is that he wouldn’t nuke people.

Deranged.

Jo Swinson, admirer of warmongers like Hillary Clinton, is a horrific imperialist

..................

Such incredible deception from Jo Swinson and the Lib Dems here

..................

Imagine having more sympathy for the really wealthy people who don't want to pay a bit more tax, than for the kids who go hungry thanks to the system from which those really wealthy people profited.

'Trickle down theory' is a great big lie, that the rich will continue to promote - don't be fooled! Wealth has trickled up, not down.

..................

Lib Dem election bus - ‘Jo Swinson’s Liberal Democrats’ along with a massive pic of her face.

Meanwhile, Corbyn - “I was not born to rule.. I seek power to share it out”

But Corbyn is the Stalinist. And Labour supporters are the cultists.

Lol. Up is down.

...................

Just imagine, we could have a peace activist rather than a racist psychopath, as Prime Minister. Wouldn't that be something?

...................

Lib Dems keep peddling nonsense that it is all Labour's fault that a Lib Dem/Labour alliance won't happen - it won't happen mostly because, 81% of Tory marginals are vs Labour, so it would mean the Lib Dems would have to completely kiss goodbye to their fantasy of Jo Swinson becoming PM! And also, it won't happen, because the reality is that both parties represent very different interests.

..................

In their alliance with the Lib Dems, the Greens - who say they want this election to be the climate election - are actively helping to prevent a Labour government and a Green New Deal.

..................

Ian Austin is an anti-Palestinian racist and a lover of oil wars, who is currently employed by the Tories,

If you care about his opinion, please reconsider.

And why has him saying ‘vote Tory not Corbyn’ had way more coverage than Ken Clarke saying he might not vote Tory, and John Major saying Johnson can’t be trusted?

Is the BBC going to abide by election broadcasting rules? Seems not.

..................

More deception here from the Fib Dems

..................

Jo Swinson joins in with the racist anti-Palestine smear campaign against Corbyn & co. Disgusting.

Jeremy Corbyn wants to recognise the Palestinian state. Pro-Israel folks want to continue the occupation of Palestine. So they’re pretty keen on preventing him from becoming PM. To delegitimize him and other critics of the occupation, they smear them as anti-Semitic. Super rich folks (including those who own the media) are also keen on preventing a Corbyn premiership, because they don’t want to pay tax etv. So they jump on the ‘antisemitism’ accusation - it’s perfect for propaganda purposes.

It is not difficult to understand what is going on. 'Centrists' are awful.

..................

Jo Swinson wants us to believe she cares deeply about the environment. Complete nonsense. Neoliberalism + environmentalism = incompatible.

.................

Really struggling to think of a reasonable explanation for this, particularly from the supposedly lefty, radical Greens. Labour is promising a Green revolution!! Yet they’re helping to give seats to the Tories?!

Labour is also promising a second referendum, and to radically address the issues that led many to vote for Brexit (inequality etc).

Why are these parties jeopardising the chances of all this happening, and instead increasing the chances of a Tory win/right-wing Brexit?

Bonkers.

And simply by making this election about Brexit, rather than about poverty, injustice, and... the climate(!), the Greens are playing into the Tories' hands.
...................

If enough of us don’t rally around Labour and their radical agenda to take on the 1%, redistribute wealth/power, protect the environment, and seek peace, we’ve got an extremely crap future ahead of us, as the fascism and ecocide we’ve spread around the world comes back to bite.

.....................

....................

The Trumpian Liberal Democrats.

...................

Corbyn expresses solidarity with Brazilian leftist politician, Lula, who had been a political prisoner in Brazil for 1.5 years, enabling the rise of the neo-fascist, Bolsonaro.

I wonder if Jo Swinson will show solidarity? I doubt it. She is a (neo)liberal capitalist, and capitalists are far more aligned to fascism than to socialism.

...................

We could have a genuinely compassionate, kind, non-sociopathic, real human being as PM!

UK establishment/media cannot comprehend such a possibility.

...................

If you consider yourself a citizen of the world, and not a British nationalist, it is vital to look at what each party/leader's stance is towards the rest of the world. Corbyn, a committed internationalist, who has opposed all our imperialist interventions, is the only option for those who want a peaceful, just world.

...................

Here is the position of one of the leaders of the Green Party re why they have gone in to an alliance with the Lib Dems. He says their priority is to make this election about the climate crisis, and about ensuring we remain in the EU, which apparently is essential for addressing that crisis, (despite the EU being crap on this stuff - surely easier to get a Green New Deal on a national level first?).

But anyway, I really don't think his argument makes much sense. He is basically saying - ‘We must make this the climate election by allying with the anti-environmentalist Lib Dems, helping even more anti-environmentalist Tories in many seats, thus decreasing the chances of a Labour government and their green revolution, and decreasing the chances of a second referendum to stay in the EU'.

Bonkers.

....................

BBC comedian Russell Howard thinks Johnson and Corbyn are both twats.

One is a racist, warmongering psychopath who jokes about murdered Libyans and kills the poor with austerity.

The other is a compassionate, anti-war socialist, who wants to take on the 1% and redistribute their power and wealth, so everyone can live in dignity.

F off Russell Howard.

.....................

Everyone needs to remember - Jeremy Corbyn is not your average self-interested, power-hungry politician. He actually means what he says. He is on our side. I mean, if someone like him really does get corrupted by the system, then there really is no hope!

Wow. Just wow. New levels of state propaganda here.

......................

Corbyn has expressed solidarity with ousted Bolivian president, Evo Morales. This is exactly why we need to make this man PM. He’s an internationalist, not an imperialist.

If you’re in the global south and you want to nationalise your resources, so that profits go towards ending poverty, rather than to elites/western corporations, you will be attacked, one way or another, by the US.

We must try and make the UK a country that opposes this imperialist aggression.

......................

Vote Lib Dem if, like Sam Gyiamah (former Tory MP, now Lib Dem candidate), you think tuition free university is a 'fantasy'.

Germany, Sweden, France, etc... do not have tuition fees.

These are all political choices.

.....................

A Lib Dem candidate stood down in Canterbury to give the pro-Remain Labour candidate a better chance at fending off a Tory Brexiteer.

The Lib Dem leadership have decided to simply field another. Why?

Because it was never about stopping Brexit. It was about stopping Corbyn. - Arron Bastani

......................

Polls are showing that this is a two horse race. If you want to avoid more Tory rule, and if you want to begin building a better future for all, you gotta back Labour! And ideally do so loudly, to encourage others! A LOT of people have been convinced by years of ridiculous propaganda, to despise Corbyn & co - we need to get them to see sense, before it's too late.

......................

BBC thinks free broadband is 'communism'. lol! Also, see Talk Radio and Sun 'journalist' here citing the Tories and BT's CEO as credible sources to attack Labour's plan. lol!

.....................

Bernie Sanders speaks up for Bolivia’s Evo Morales, who had to flee his country after a far-right, US-backed coup.

All victims of western imperialism around the world need us to get Sanders into power in the US, and Corbyn into power the UK. Let’s make it happen!

.....................

I’m just chatting on twitter to the lovely Liberal Democrat candidate for Shoreham & Worthing, who thinks Jeremy Corbyn is an ‘elitist hypocrite no better than Nigel Farage’.

He thinks those of us who want to redistribute some power/wealth, end poverty and create a humane society with decent public services, are the same as the far-right.

Jesus wept.

....................

Liberal Democrats are the new Tories. At a time when most economists are saying we need to massively invest in the economy, they are effectively calling for permanent austerity. They are now to the right of Johnson's Tory Party economically, it seems.

....................

.....................

Disgusting case of projection here from Lib Dem candidate and former Tory MP, Sam Gyimah. It’s neoliberalism, particularly austerity, that led to Grenfell, and he was in the government that implemented it.

....................

With this kind of trash from the BBC, it really will be remarkable if Labour manage to win this election. So much disgusting propaganda to fight. Truth is - a lot of people in his party are neoliberals who hate him for exposing them as fake socialists, and so they’ve sickeningly weaponised antisemitism against him.

And Jo Swinson continues to do this too.

.....................

Lib Dems continue to insist that Corbyn didn’t campaign for Remain in the referendum. Another lie.

.....................

Along with the UK government, the EU has now backed fascists in Syria, Ukraine, Venezuela, Bolivia. All to advance the interests of capital; to enable western corporations to plunder/profit.

If you think remaining in the capitalist EU is the answer to the world's problems: it is not!

The answer is SOCIALISM.

Inside or outside of the EU, we must elect a socialist government, that will stand against this capitalist hell.

.......................

Jo Swinson wants to stay in the EU because she is an 'internationalist'. lol! Yeah, that's why she's doing as Jeremy did and speaking out about the west-backed fascist coup in Bolivia. Oh wait, she's not. To liberals, 'internationalist' is code for imperialist.

My goodness there were a lot of racist and horrible people in that ITV audience for the leader's debate. Some literally burst out laughing when Jeremy mentioned victims of climate change in the global south.

Also - who won the debate? YouGov says Johnson won, just. Different story on twitter though, if that means anything.

.......................

Jo Swinson says she'd drop a nuke.

Horrific.

And the interviewer - ‘brilliant short answer’.

Fucking hell.

How the hell did we end up in a situation where this is a normal question to ask, let alone a question that is expected to be answered with a resounding ‘yes!’ from all politicians?

We're sick.

......................

Any chance we could make this the first election not decided by billionaires?

.....................

Jo Swinson continues to insist she cares about the environment. People who care about the environment/nature do not support fracking, do not sell off our forests, do not cull badgers, and do not support the dropping of nuclear bombs.

....................

Once you appreciate the bloody history of British/western imperialism, and how it continues to this day, you’ll realise that we all have a huge responsibility to not miss this opportunity to elect an anti-imperialist, peace activist as PM.

.....................

Why does it seem like the Lib Dems would rather a second ref of Remain vs Tory Deal than a second ref of Remain vs Labour (softer) Deal? They really are desperate to avoid a bit of socialism aren’t they? That’s clearly their priority, and they’ll potentially enable Tory Brexit to do so.

.....................

Imagine if we had a public service broadcaster, and a ‘free press’, that wasn’t largely a propaganda service for the Tories/1%?

...........................

Hi Centrists,

If you don’t come to the realisation ASAP that it is ‘centrism’ which has, via neoliberal economics and for-profit war/ecocide, fuelled the far-right and caused the environmental crisis, then we’re all fucked.

This election may rest on enough of you realising this and coming left.

Wake up.

............................

If the current polls are remotely accurate, it is extremely fucking depressing that like 45% of Brits are planning on supporting a Tory party led by a racist, lying thug that is basically now UKIP, and that will gradually sell off the NHS.

But best to have hope and remember how wrong most of the polls were in 2017.

Just 2,227 extra votes for Labour across the country and they would’ve won that election.

Please just do whatever you can to get any Tories you know to see sense. And get anyone you know who isn’t currently registered to do so - only 2 days left.

Absolutely nuts for anyone to say Labour's manifesto pledges aren't possible. If we're going to accept a world in which we can't take money off of super rich people/corporations to pay for public services, housing, green investment, etc, then we might as well all just bloody give up on life tbh.

........................

It’s annoying that much of the left seems to have given up on defending Corbyn. Instead, when someone attacks him, they say ‘just vote for the policies’. We should really be making an effort to fight the anti-JC propaganda; to point out his outstanding record re peace/poverty/climate.

People want a leader they can trust. It’s as important as the policies. Following years of propaganda, Corbyn’s approval ratings are awful, and I’m not sure we’ve much chance of winning if we don’t try and change that.

Response should be - ‘check his brilliant record of sticking up for the rights of ordinary people’ and ‘he’s a different kind of leader - he wants to listen, and redistribute power to the people; not be an authoritarian/elitist like we’ve had previously’.

.........................

A very misleading headline from the BBC here.

.........................

More BBC bias.

........................

BBC top story is that Britain's Chief Rabbi hates Jeremy Corbyn. Obviously the BBC fails to mention that this Rabbi supports Israeli brutality against Palestinians, and openly supports Boris Johnson.

.........................

BBC continues to fan the disgusting smear campaign against lifelong anti-racist, Jeremy Corbyn.

........................

Pure McCarthyism here, in Corbyn's interview with Andrew Neil. Good on Corbyn for refusing to submit to it here. I really feel for him. It’s just disgusting, what people like Andrew Neil - who writes for an outlet with a long history of racism - are doing to a committed anti-racist.

........................

Boris Johnson declined a Channel 4 debate with Corbyn, and now, it looks as though he is refusing an Andrew Neil interview.

Sajid Javid has also refused to debate John McDonndell.

Amazing how ‘Tories running scared’ isn’t a big media story, isn’t it?

And the BBC should most definitely not have broadcasted the Andrew Neil interview with Corbyn - which was awful - until they knew Johnson was signed up for one too.

‪If Johnson really does refuse, then for balance, Labour should be given a prime time, 30 minute slot on BBC1, to promote the manifesto!

(Boris Johnson has agreed to do an interview, but not with Andrew Neil - with Andrew Marr).

.........................

‘Hey license fee-paying schmucks, here’s some right-wing propaganda to encourage you to vote against your interests’ - the BBC

..........................

The Tories have been killing Yemenis for years, but this isn’t being discussed at all in coverage of this election. Instead, the media attacks the anti-war candidate. We’re a truly sick society.

.........................

Whilst the Orwellian nonsense about Labour’s non-existent antisemitism ‘crisis’ continues, this gets ignored. Gee, it’s almost like this is all about toppling an anti-war socialist, rather than about tackling racism.

.........................

Nationalisation of public services could save £13billion every year.

.........................

163 economists sign letter backing Labour’s plans.

........................

The BBC is humanising the racist thug, and demonising the anti-war, anti-racist, compassionate peace candidate, as an antisemite. Just disgusting.

.........................

Read This.

'Judaism is the problem. Antisemitism is a natural reaction to it'.

If Johnson had said this, he'd be called a racist by all media, and shunned by society.

But, say the same thing about Islam and Islamaphobia, and... silence.

Corbyn is hated because, unlike the media etc, he isn't selective with his anti-racism.

........................

BBC's Laura Keunssberg shilling for the Tories once again.

.......................

Want to save the NHS? Want to get going with a green revolution? Want to focus on eradicating poverty? Want to stop bombing kids for oil? Want to prevent a right-wing Brexit and not become a total puppet of Donald Trump? Want to prevent the continued rise of the far-right?

Get on board with Labour now!!!

........................

Like him or not, without Jeremy Corbyn, there would be no movement, and there would be no radical manifesto of policy pledges to undo decades of neoliberalism and all its symptoms.

.......................

Tories, particularly those on the far-right of the party - who are now in control of it - detest the NHS. Just as they detest any public service.

If you want an NHS, and really just any semblance of human decency in society, there is no excuse for voting Tory.

Meanwhile, Labour want to increase investment in the NHS by the amount advised by leading health charities.

And they want to begin restructuring society, hopefully meaning that people will be less exploited etc, and thus have less health issues.

Unless you’re in one of the tiny number of marginals (in England) where the Lib Dems stand a better chance, vote Labour!!!

.....................

Boris Johnson refused to participate in the Channel 4 Climate Debate. So... his dad, along with Michael Gove, tried to get in, just before the debate started, to appear in his place. IMAGINE THE MEDIA ONSLAUGHT IF JEREMY CORBYN SENT HIS DAD TO A DEBATE IN HIS PLACE.

....................

We don't hear from pro-Corbyn Jews in MSM, for the same reason we don't hear from Cubans who support the revolution, from Syrians who oppose the west-backed, Wahhabi insurgency in Syria, etc etc.

.....................

Tory authitarianism - they're threatening Channel 4 for replacing Johnson with an ice sculpture after he refused to participate in their climate debate. Where is the outrage about this attack on the press?

......................

There is no excuse other than ignorance for continuing to believe in 'trickle down economics'. Wealth has trickled (more like poured) up, not down. #VoteLabour for change!

....................

There's been a terrorist attack on London Bridge.

Reminder:

Boris Johnson has, for the last 8 years, been backing sectarian, Wahhabi extremists in Syria, (and Libya before that), who’ve committed all kinds of unspeakable atrocities. Hundreds of thousands killed.

Not to mention his ilk’s cosy relationship with acceptable face of ISIS, Saudi Arabia - home of Wahhabism.

Politicians like him, who put profit before sanity/humanity, help cause this never-ending cycle of violence, with their imperial foreign policy, and with their neoliberal policies domestically (including the cutting of police).

You can’t kill millions of people in foreign countries for oil, (which has involved giving $billions of arms and support to...terrorists!), and screw over people via austerity/exploitation/poverty etc back home, then expect anything other than more misery, violence, and death.

Horrific attacks like this must be politicised imo. The best way to show respect for all those killed by terrorism is surely to speak out against what is at its root, so we can try and put an end to it?

If more people had done this after 9/11 - which was a direct consequence of US imperialism in Afghanistan in the 1980s in support of the Mujahdeen (including Osama Bin Laden) - then millions would not have been killed these last two decades in the bogus ‘war on terror’ - war of terror, for oil/$.

The cycle of violence won’t end until we acknowledge all the above and demand big change.

.......................

Refusing to back Labour because you don’t like Jeremy Corbyn, is nuts. Particularly given, whatever his flaws, he is most definitely the least flawed, least corrupt, most honest, most informed potential PM we have had in a very, very long time!

Most people complaining about JC are being dishonest - they actually just dislike the policies.

........................

If you care about the world/humanity, this is your chance to vote in a government that wants to address the extreme injustices that Britain has inflicted on the world for centuries.

The manifesto isn't perfect - support for NATO/Trident just shows that the Blairites/warmongers still have significant control over the party.

But anti-imperialists have clearly had a huge influence over the rest of it.

This would not have happened without Jeremy Corbyn's leadership.

.......................

Did the BBC lie Corbyn into the Andrew Neil interview that involved Andrew (who writes for racist ‘news’paper, the Spectator) spending 30 mins accusing JC of being a terrorist supporting antisemite?

.......................

The BBC's anti-Corbyn bias shows it's not fit for purpose.

........................

The Preston Model. Not exactly radical. Let’s have this?

.......................

The other day, Theresa May unveiled a statue of former Tory MP, Nancy Astor.

Astor was a Nazi sympathiser who speculated that Hitler could be the solution to the “world problem” of Jews.

But who cares, eh? Let’s go after the anti-racist activist, Jeremy Corbyn, instead.

Amazingly, the BBC reported on this and managed to completely omit the fact that Astor was a Hitler sympathizer - instead they call her 'pioneering'.

......................

Media silence re Johnson’s racism.

......................

BBC mocking Labour plans to plant 2 billion trees in 20 years. Ethiopia recently planted 350,000 in a day. In the 1930s, the US planted 3 billion in 9 years.

......................

Many, many people have been so brainwashed into neoliberal ideology that they will look at Labour’s manifesto and laugh at it. How do we convince these people otherwise? How do we make them see that it is the state that is responsible for most of the progress we’ve made over the years, not the private sector? How do we make them see that wealth has trickled up, not down, since we embarked on mass privatisations, and that this can only be undone with a socialist government and major state intervention?

......................

BBC cave in and allow Johnson to be interviewed by Andrew Marr, not Andrew Neil - a FAR more aggressive interviewer. ‘Because of the terrorist incident’. Meaning Johnson now gets an opportunity to grandstand about fighting the terrorism that he creates with his wars etc.

This is against the wishes of the father of one of the victims of the London Bridge attack.

.....................

Lib Dems supported austerity, not because they were in a coalition and so had no choice, but because they are neoliberal.

Labour, under Ed Miliband at that time, also supported austerity.

You know who didn’t? You know who always saw it for the unnecessary, economically stupid, class war that it was?

Jeremy Corbyn and John McDonnell!

......................

So Johnson did an interview with Marr in which he repeatedly lied about all kinds of things. Will the BBC be properly holding him to account for this? Surely ‘PM is serial liar’ should be headline news?

Anti-Russia hysteria comes to the UK again - media claiming it was Russians who leaked details about Tory plans to sell off the NHS to Trump. I’m confused. I thought those pesky Russians were backing Boris Johnson and Brexit? But now they’re backing Labour and helping to save our NHS?

....................

Boris Johnson said patients should have to pay to use the NHS so they will 'value' it more.

Tories despise the NHS, just like they despise any public service. They serve the interests of an elite few, who will exploit and profit from anything if given the chance.

...................

We all have a responsibility to back Labour in this election...

- so that Brits can finally begin coming to terms with the brutal, racist history of British imperialism, that continues to this day under US leadership; to work towards putting an end to it, and making amends, by respecting international law, resisting the US, ending the genocidal intervention in Yemen, and forging new, fair relations with developing countries, including our former colonies; standing in solidarity with anti-imperialist/anti-capitalist struggles.

- to address the climate crisis. The west is responsible for wreaking chaos and devastation around the world, via the plunderous wars and corporate domination, exploitation and extraction. The resulting environmental damage is immeasurable. To make up for this hell, the west must now lead the way in cleaning up the mess we created.

- to undo decades of neoliberalism and austerity, and begin creating a new system that works for all; taking some power back from the corporations/elites and giving it to the people, to ensure that future generations have an NHS and other public services; to end homelessness and poverty, hugely reduce inequality, and thus prevent the continued rise of the far-right.

......................

Why didn’t the BBC inform us about this, or about the NHS trade deal leak that Labour got off Reddit?

.....................

Ordinary people campaigning for Labour like never before! Shouldn't this be a news story?

.....................

Amazing that this barely appeared on BBC top news stories. The fact we’ve got a chance to really do something about climate change is not that important, I guess. The fact that corporate media (+ the BBC) is trying its damned hardest to prevent a Labour government, really does expose once again that it is the greatest threat to us and the planet. It is collectively a giant PR machine for the 1%.

Seek alternative media outlets!

.....................

Who the hell cares where the trade deal docs came from, but fyi - Reddit’s only source for this is the US/UK-funded, pro-war Atlantic Council.

And, Reddit’s Director of Policy, Jessica Ashooh, is the Atlantic Council’s former Middle East Strategy Task Force Deputy Director.

Today’s Labour Party, with its plans for a more peaceful foreign policy, is a major threat to these people. Did they fabricate this to desperately try and associate Labour with those evil Russians, in an attempt to put off potential Labour voters? Who knows.

........................

The problems we have in this world are largely thanks to a massive redistribution of power away from the mass people, to a small number of elites/corporations.

The solution is either to redistribute power back to the people - ie massively increase democracy.

Or... we abandon democracy entirely and choose rule by a benign dictator!

Best we try the former first.

.........................

Really amazing that the BBC still review the billionaire-owned newspapers and act like they’re impartial sources of information providing a balanced look at what’s going on in the country/world.

And then even worse that the guests doing the reviewing are most often right-wing neoliberals.

........................

‘David Miliband would win it for Labour’.

I doubt it. Just look at Trump/Hillary. Neoliberals can’t beat that which they create.

It is those saying this who’re the problem. It’s up to them to come left, not for the left to move back to neoliberalism!

And it’s also just a giant ‘fuck you’ to the environment, to the poor, to Yemen, to Chagos Islanders, (to all victims of neoliberalism and UK imperialism).

Labour would not have a progressive manifesto to address all these issues if not for the anti-neoliberalism, anti-imperialist movement which has only been made possible by Corbyn’s leadership.

And how often have Tory sources lied previously, but still the media reports their claims without verifying?

It should surely now be a major news story that these Tory advisors lied about this attack, to the press/public, to distract us. But it won’t be. The fact that we’re now ruled by serial liars, bigots and racists with designs on increasing authoritarianism, doesn’t seem to be that newsworthy.‬

........................

‪If the polls are accurate then it’s true - England really is full of ignorant racists who don’t give a damn about humanity or the planet. ‬

‪I try to focus my anger at the manipulators - the elites, the politicians, the media.‬

‪But ugh, it’s all just so fucking depressing. ‬

‪A lot of it, I think, is just people not using their brains; not thinking, which is kinda understandable, given how overworked, and constantly manipulated, everyone is, in this shitty system. At this rate, eventually there will be revolution.

.......................

Meanwhile, Jeremy Corbyn attends rallies around the country, where hundreds/thousands of supporters chant his name. You'd think there might be a bit more coverage of this in the media?

......................

White supremacist on the BBC. Of course, they couldn't have known that this person would do this. But will they report on it now? Is the rise of the far-right of any concern whatsoever to the BBC? .....................

I fear that all the talk of tactical voting will do harm. Not just because many of these sites have some very strange anti-Labour recommendations, but also because it's diverting attention from what this election needs to be about - NHS, inequality, etc - to win over Brexiteers.

What is the solution to this, other than a socialist agenda to redistribute that power, and create a new system that prevents such extreme wealth accumulation?

Until we take that power away, all the profitable ecocide, war, exploitation, etc, will continue.

Vote Labour!

........................

I can only conclude that anyone not backing Labour right now, is either uninformed, or does not care about the environment, is happy for kids in Yemen and elsewhere to be bombed for oil, and is perfectly content with increasing poverty and homelessness.

If you support Corbyn, and the movement that has been made possible by his leadership - to end poverty, war, and tackle the climate crisis - the BBC thinks you’re in a ‘cult’.

Utterly disgraceful. We’re literally paying the license fee to be insulted, whilst hard-right Boris Johnson and his supporters get away with pretty much anything.

And it really is amazing that the media has managed to smear this movement as a ‘cult’, given that the plan is to redistribute power away from one all-powerful leader.

Reality inverted constantly.

If anything, it is centrists who are the true cultists, as they continue religiously supporting neoliberalism, and the leaders who still believe in that system, like Obama, Hillary, David Miliband, Chuka Umuna, etc, as it destroys the world, and fuels the far-right.

Has this been the general depiction of things in the media? Hell no.

Fifth richest country in the world, but remember - the reason you can’t have a living wage, a house, an NHS, etc, is cos of that equally/even more impoverished migrant living down the road.

It seems amazing that anyone falls for this shit, but they do, and increasingly so, in an extremely unequal, and justifiably angry, society.

Vote Labour to begin reducing that inequality, regulate the media, and defeat the far-right!

Am I wrong or are some Labour centrists now attacking Corbyn because he’s lost support from Labour leavers in the midlands/north, who’re pissed that Labour backed a second referendum - which those centrists demanded be backed? Craven.

Austerity: an excuse to run down public services and slash the state; a war on the poor; a wasted decade.

Jeremy Corbyn and John McDonnell are two of the very few MPs who opposed it from the start.

Johnson, again, avoided scrutiny, and hid in a fridge! How is it that Laura Kuennsberg doesn't mention this here here?!

Struggling to find mentions in UK press of B.Johnson describing world's major state sponsor of terrorism for past 40 years as "our friends". Compared to c.1,000 mentions in past 5 years of Corbyn saying same of Hamas. What's going on is not even subtle. - Mark Curtis

Our depraved media has spent years attacking a lifelong anti-racist, whilst portraying the overtly racist Johnson as a bumbling, loveable buffoon. A Tory win will be their doing.

There's a man who bombs kids for oil and makes poor people suffer for the crimes of elites.

There's a man who wants to not do that.

In their report of Boris Johnson's stunt at a JCB warehouse, the BBC and others fail to mention that Johnson was recently paid 10k by the company.

This whole episode is absolutely mental, and absurd that it hasn't been a scandal in the BBC/media. But then, it's kinda incriminating for them, so no wonder it's not!

As BAME (Black, Asian and minority ethnic) representatives, organisations, anti-racist activists and individuals involved in local, national, and international campaigns, we urge BAME and migrant communities to vote for the Labour Party on 12 December, to elect Jeremy Corbyn, a long-standing friend and supporter of the anti-racist causes we campaign for.

From what I’ve seen (mainly on social media), it seems those who’re politically engaged, and well informed, tend to really like Jeremy Corbyn, whereas those who aren’t particularly politically engaged, and who rely on the BBC/corporate media for their info - ie most people - are not so keen. The years-long character assassination of him by that media has most definitely had the desired impact.

Ideally, everyone will just vote on policy, not personality, but unfortunately many don’t.

I also get the impression many are scared of Corbyn’s leadership style - the fact that he is incredibly un-authoritarian; he wants to listen and give out power, rather than keep it for himself. Their seems to be a fear of democracy. Which is sad.

And thanks to decades of corrupt, self-serving politicians, many seem unable to comprehend the concept of a decent politician who is solidly on our side. Given that recent history of self-serving politicians, (and given the immense anti-Corbyn propaganda), this extreme cynicism, is totally understandable.

And thanks to decades of neoliberalism and constant propaganda that the state = bad and the market = good, there is also huge scepticism that Labour’s manifesto pledges are achievable.

And, Brexit has really made things difficult. Labour’s backing of a second referendum has pissed off Labour leavers, (mostly in the midlands/north). Will these voters see the huge threat of Johnson’s continued rule/hard right Brexit, to the NHS etc, and vote rationally? Unfortunately, polls suggest many won’t.

Despite all the above, it’s still shocking and incredibly depressing that anyone, let alone some 40% (according to polls) of the electorate could favour a Boris Johnson-led Tory party.

Over many years, the media, particularly the BBC, has conditioned us into viewing Johnson as a loveable, bumbling, funny chap. His racism, deception, elitism, general bigotry, etc, has been suppressed, particularly during this election campaign.

He’s also an open supporter of the British Empire. If we were a sane, non-racist society, this would be an instant disqualifier, but unfortunately, England is still full of ignorant fools, with no understanding of our bloody history, who still see Britain as supreme.

So I hope I’m wrong, but because of all the above, I will be shocked if Labour do well tomorrow.

Labour activists deserve massive credit whatever happens - they’ve been canvassing like crazy these last few weeks. Our only hope is that they’ve managed to counter all the above on the doorstep and turn the tide... 🙏🏻
