Anti-IMF Protests Ignored - MSM a Propaganda Machine for Neoliberalism

Protests like these in Ecuador (also in Chile), against neoliberalism and western domination, rarely make the headlines, even as the protests are violently repressed. The US puppet regime of Ecuador, headed by Lenin Moreno, that Ecuadorians are protesting against, is trying to impose neoliberal reforms, which would take away the sovereignty of Ecuadorians, making them slaves to multi-national corporations. The same old story!

Meanwhile, the same media loudly propagates total one-sided nonsense about what has been happening in Venezuela, where an anti-US, anti-neoliberalism government currently is in power, and has been facing protests and coup-attempts backed by the US, EU, and Canada - who are all now waging economic war against Venezuela via deadly sanctions.

Also, the same media gives lots of coverage to the situation in Hong Kong, where protestors are demanding more US meddling, domination and neoliberalism.

Basically...

If you’re a government implementing a pro-US, neoliberal system, western media and governments will show little interest as you violently repress your people. If you’re a government desperately resisting western capitalist imperialism, the same media and governments will demonise and sanction you to death.

If you're a protest movement supporting the US and neoliberalism, the media will back you. If you're a protest movement opposing the US and neoliberalism, the media will show little interest, even as your government violently represses you.

It really could not be clearer that our media is a propaganda machine for western capitalist interests.
