Polls show that Brits are more likely to view the British Empire as something to be proud of than something to be ashamed of. 😩
Over a 300 year period, British elites invaded nearly every country in the world to plunder and profit. Seeing themselves as a master race, they invented concentration camps, enslaved millions, tortured and massacred those who resisted, killed 29 million Indians, forced the Chinese into Opium addiction, exterminated entire villages to quell rebellions, stole $trillions, used chemical weapons... etc etc.
Our country is deeply ignorant and racist, and our media/education system help to keep it that way, so that today's military and economic imperialism, under US leadership, can continue!
