Numbers needed to vaccinate

Watch: Numbers needed to vaccinate data

We need to jab 250,000 people to prevent one serious hospitalisation, in the 50-59 age group. 700,000 in the 20-29 age group.

There’s evidence to suggest that there’s somewhere between a 1 in 800 and 1 in 5000 chance of suffering a serious injury from the jab.

You do the math…

Such a monumental waste of resources and so many needless injuries. Why didn’t we at least check people first for naturally-acquired immunity?! Instead, many countries denied that was even a thing, and effectively forced those who were already immune to get jabbed!! Tyrannical science denialism!!

Imagine we’d spent some of the £billions spent on vaccines, on reducing poverty, addressing nutrient deficiencies, improving diet/lifestyle. Would’ve most likely prevented loads more severe Covid cases, and loads of other illnesses! (And vax injuries!). The history of disease reduction is pretty clear that this should be a priority. Jabs generally played a very minor role compared to changes in the environment.
